Hello! Thank you for taking time to view the services we offer and potentially choosing Perseverance Counseling, LLC as your passenger/guide to healing.
I have over 15 years of counseling experience. I help individuals, families and couples process trauma, anxiety, depression, grief, conflict and more. Using a collaborative approach, we will work to overcome the pot holes, detours, U-Turns, ruts and bumps that are on the highway of life.
Do you often find yourself fearful of the future based of past negative experiences? Do you fear telling others about your true feelings because they won't understand? I understand your experience all too well: the racing thoughts, jittery gut feelings, thoughts of doom. Emotions can be overwhelming, and it's my aim to help you process your feelings.
The techniques I offer are through personal experiences and skills I've honed throughout my career assisting individuals like yourself. I possess numerous methods, and my objective is to tailor techniques in a structured manner that will meet your individual needs. My approach is straightforward and collaborative. Together, we will tackle the emotional experiences that are currently troubling you. Our focus will be on addressing the present moment and regaining control over both your body and mind. We will explore and develop strategies to help you process current, past and future hurdles that create emotional barriers in your life.

Hello! I’m Julia Watkins, a passionate and dedicated therapist committed to fostering growth, healing, and empowerment in the lives of others.
With a deep understanding of the intricate interplay between mind, emotions, and behavior, I strive to create a safe and supportive space for individuals seeking positive transformation. I hold a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Spelman College and a Master’s degree in School Counseling from Clark Atlanta University, bringing several years of experience in the field of mental health. I am experienced in assisting clients develop coping strategies to address stress, anxiety, depression, and other life transitions.
I wholeheartedly believe in the power of therapy, and I am committed to helping others cultivate resilience, self-awareness, and a profound sense of purpose. My approach is person-centered, and I believe in the inherent strength of each individual and work collaboratively to explore and build upon those strengths.
